We are here to listen and direct our Veterans and their families to the supports and services that may be able to help them. Our Veteran Advocates understand the varied emotions and needs of Veterans in our community and are here to help.
Veteran Advocates are able to assist clients either directly or through referral services when applying for benefits, to include: Social Services, Medicaid and Medicare, Disability, Section 8, VA benefits, and more.
Mental health is important for everyone, but especially when it comes to our Veterans. We can educate our Service Members, Veterans, and their families about what mental health is, plan development, triggers, coping mechanisms, and more.
The peer approach is one by which our Veteran Advocates can share their personal experiences during and after their military service to provide encouragement and support to fellow Veterans and Service Members. Peer counseling is offered on a one-to-one or group basis. Peer counseling is client-directed to assist participants with formulating and achieving their own goals.
ATI understands how difficult it is for our Veterans to live with PTSD, TBI, and PTSD/MST. We would like to offer you a chance to have some relief with the help of a service dog. Our service dog program is available to any eligible veteran that has been honorably discharged and has a PTSD diagnosis. This program offers free dog adoption, free leash and vest, and free training. For more information about our service dog program, please call (845) 794-4228 or (845) 343-4284. *
